Event Details

The 1st International Seminar on Sports Law of the Portuguese Language, will promote themes in a Global way, with a lot of content through panels with big names in the market.

A Realization of the National Academy of Sports Law (ANDD) and the Youth Commission of the Academy (ANDDJ), together with the FPF Academia; and with the participation of the Portuguese Sports Law Association (APDD) and the Young Portuguese Language Lawyers (JALP).

Event that will provide intense debates. The event is transversal and for 3 days it will face the most current themes of Sports Law.

It is impossible to stay out of this Seminar!

Reinaldo Carneiro Bastos Bastos

President of the São Paulo Football Federation
He started his sports life in 1980, when he took office
of director of Futebol do Esporte Clube Taubaté. Four years later, he was elected
club president, a post he remained in until 1988.
At that time, Reinaldo Carneiro Bastos was already a member of the São Paulo Football Federation and
held the position of administrative director. Since then, he started to develop a work
facing the union of teams from the capital and the interior of the State of São Paulo.
Became a member of the Football Arbitration Committee
Paulista, and then moved to the post of president of the Commission, for three terms.
He was Financial Director of FPF and, in
1996, he was elected vice-president. After going through all departments of the
entity, deeply familiar with State football, Reinaldo assumed the presidency
FPF in April 2015, with a mandate until 2018. In its management, the Federation goes through
extensive reformulation, modernization, professionalizing the entire entity.
With massive support from the clubs, Reinaldo was elected in 2018 for the four-year term at
ahead of the FPF, between 2019 and 2022.
At the same time, Reinaldo Carneiro Bastos was president of Sindbol, the Union of
Professional Football Associations of the State of São Paulo, and also financial director of the
Sindafebol, National Union of Professional Football Associations and their Entities
State Sports and Leagues Administration.
Reinaldo Carneiro Bastos was, between 2010 and 2018, coordinating director of CBF, responsible for
for Series C and B of the Brazilian Championship. At Conmebol, he occupied, from 2016 to 2018, the
Brazilian chair on the Executive Council, today serving as Vice President of the Club and National Competitions Committee of the South American entity.

Ministro Guilherme Caputo Bastos Caputo Bastos

President of the National Academy of Sports Law
Guilherme Augusto Caputo Bastos was born in Juiz de Fora (MG) on August 28,
1958.
Bachelor's degree in Economic Sciences from the Unified Teaching Center of Brasilia
(CEUB) and in Law from the University of Brasília (UnB).
He has a postgraduate degree in Labor Law from the Unified Teaching Center of Brasília
(CEUB) and in Material and Procedural Labor Law by the University of León, in
Spain.
He began his career in the public service as a public servant at the Federal Court of
Resources (1976).
Joined the labor magistracy as a Substitute Labor Judge at the Court
Regional Labor Office of the 10th Region (DF) in 1989. He was promoted to Chief Justice
of the 2nd Board of Conciliation and Judgment of Dourados (MS) in 1991 and Judge of
Regional Labor Court of the 23rd Region (MT) in 1992.
He served as a Summoned Judge at the Superior Labor Court from January of
2000 in discontinuous periods.
He is President of the National Academy of Sports Law.
Holds honors with emphasis on the Order of Sport Merit granted
by the President of the Republic for her outstanding work in the field of sports law.
On October 4, 2007, he took office as Minister of the Superior Court of
Job.

Francisco Goes Pinheiro Pinheiro

He holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and a postgraduate degree in Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where he was part of the ADR media laboratory.
He started his professional career at Barrocas Sarmento Neves. Later, he accompanied the group of lawyers who founded Gómez-Acebo & Pombo in Lisbon. Since 2011, he has worked at AVM Advogados, where he is currently Coordinating Associate at the Lisbon office.
He has dedicated himself, above all, to the Angolan and Mozambican legal systems and, sporadically, contacted with the jurisdictions of Macau, Cape Verde and Brazil.
In 2017, he made a break in law in corporate practice, and joined the legal department of Efacec.
He also has a specialization in oil & gas from Central Law Training in London.
He is a member of the Associação Real República Boa-Bay-Ela in Coimbra, where he proudly lived, and which awoke the “pet” of volunteering.
Born in Porto, he is passionate about running, especially the mountain trail, where he finds the peace and serenity necessary to structure and organize ideas.

André Pereira da Fonseca is Principal Lawyer at Abreu Advogados, working mainly in the areas of litigation and international arbitration.
He has a particular role in cross-border litigation, representing clients in sectors such as construction, major projects, maritime law, transport, energy, venture capital and pharmaceutical law. His work focuses particularly on the Portuguese-speaking world, namely in jurisdictions such as Portugal, Angola, Brazil, Mozambique, Cape Verde and Timor-Leste.
In addition to being a lawyer, he also works as an arbitrator. It is part of the list of Arbitrators of the Commercial Arbitration Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and also, of the Portuguese Arbitration Court for Sport.
He is part of the faculty of several Post-Graduations in arbitration taught by Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Universidade Autónoma and Universidade de West Ontario (Canada).

João Lima Cluny holds a Master's Degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, being a Senior Lawyer at Morais Leitão, integrating the Criminal and Compliance and Sports Law departments.
He is a member of the first instance body of FPF club licensing, a member of the certification jury for the Recognition, Validation and Certification of professional skills of football coaches, nominated by FPF and a member of the Club Licensing Process Commission for FPF competitions.
He is also a referee and mediator of the Arbitral Tribunal for Sport in Portugal, having been secretary of the Editorial Board of Sport & Law, Legal Magazine of Sport, Member of the Supervisory Board of the Portuguese Sports Law Association and President of the Council of Justice of the Portuguese Federation of Bridge .

Law Degree from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2009); holds a master's degree in “Marketing and Sports Management” from ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (2011) and a specialization in sports law: national and international from “Universidade Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid (2013/2014);
He was the legal director of the Professional Union of Players between 2012-2014, after which he took over as head of the sports law department of the Gómez Acebo & Pombo office in Portugal; between 2015-2019 he was in-house counsel at Sporting Clube de Portugal where he took on the role of legal advisor.
He has been a member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2013 and has a wide range of associative experience, especially in the field of sport. He was a vice-president member of the Portuguese Sports Law Association (“APDD”) between 2018-2021, member of the Justice Council of the Lisbon Swimming Association between 2013-2015, among others.
He regularly participates in national and international conferences on sports law and is the author and co-author of several reference works in this area.

Nuno Santos Rocha Rocha

Law degree from the University of Porto, Portugal and from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium in 2009. In 2011, he completed his Master's Degree in Private Law at the University of Porto, Portugal and at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil and, since 2015, he has Executive Master in Accounting, Tax and Corporate Law from Católica Porto Business School. In 2014 he published the book “The Loss of Chance as a New Kind of Damage”, in which an attempt was made to support the need for the idea of loss of chance to be perceived through an expansion of the concept of damage and not as a problem of causality.
Lawyer added to the Portuguese Bar Association since 2012, joined Futebol Clube do Porto at the end of 2013 as an internal lawyer and, as of 2016, he is also responsible for the club's Legal Department.
In 2017 he was elected President of the Council of Justice of the Academic Federation of University Sports of Portugal (FADU), having been reelected in 2019.
